Shooting individual portraits of sports teams does not have to be a big production. This lesson will show how we got good results using only sunlight and a reflector.

Equipment Used:

When posing your subjects, take notice of details that need to be fixed. In this photo, the cap is too low, we can't see his eyes. Also the shadows are too deep and need to be brightened up. |

The cap was adjusted so his face shows better. The shadow still needs to be brightened. |

We used a 39"x72" LitePanel frame with the white fabric as a fill reflector. |

We watched our subject as we moved the reflector. When the light reflects into the subject's face, the reflector is in the correct position. |

The shadow side of the face will brighten using just the one reflector. This is an easy, inexpensive lighting solution for taking pictures of your team. |
