    Exterior Features

The Transpac exterior is constructed with a protective ¼” foam sandwiched around a corrugated polymer exoskeleton, with molded runners or "skids" on the bottom of the case. [figure 1]

    Figure 2

The outer shell of the Transpac cases is covered with 600-denier proprietary DuraCloth™ fabric. [figure 2] This fabric is designed to provide extreme durability with resistance to abrasions and scuffs. We studied fabrics used in hiking backpacks, motorcycle clothing, and military grade materials when designing DuraCloth. The fabric has a moisture barrier and is water-resistant, a valuable feature when on location!

Underneath the DuraCloth, the Transpac features a rigid wall of lightweight corrugated polymer for extra protection for your valuable equipment. Extensive Quality Control procedures during manufacturing guarantee that the Transpac cases are the perfect choice to entrust with your valuable equipment.

The Photoflex Transpac Digital Media Transport Case features double-stitched seams, and features military grade thread and seam tape for added durability. [figure 3]

    Figure 4

The skids are made of high-impact, lightweight polymer, which protects and extends the life of the case. This detail is yet another way that Photoflex has gone above and beyond in the quest to provide a case that will protect your equipment. [figure 4]

    Figure 5

The Transpac Digital Media Transport Case exterior features bolt and locking nut through-wall hardware assembly. All hardware is bolted through the exoskeleton, which provides greater structural integrity and positive locking to the interior walls. Traditional pop rivet designs are not as secure and offer no option for easy repair like our unique bolted designs. [figure 5]

    Figure 6

The case offers two modes of transport: handle or shoulder strap. The cushioned and vented handle facilitates comfortable carrying. Both the handle and shoulder strap are secured with bar tack stitching and through-wall bolting. The shoulder strap features all-metal D-ring, clip and slider hardware creating the strongest design available. The strap and strap anchors are designed using military grade webbing with extreme reinforcement at the critical stress points. [figures 6, 7, and 8]

Additionally, the bag features a high-visibility ID window where you can insert contact information to use when traveling. [figure 9]

The Digital Media Transport Case has over-sized #10 coil zippers that are self-repairing and rugged enough to take a lot of punishment on location. The zippers feature red, high-visibility pull-tabs. These will not fail like traditional tooth designed zippers. The case also features a moisture-blocking zipper cover to mitigate moisture damage to your equipment. [figures 10 and 11]

    Interior Features

Upon opening the Transpac Digital Media Case, you’ll immediately notice the red interior. This is a recent improvement Photoflex has made to the entire Transpac line—based on customer feedback. The majority of studio equipment happens to be black, so by changing our black interiors to red, our case interiors now have offer better contrast against your equipment and better visibility in low-light situations when you are digging for the right piece of equipment. Example Packing Configurations

Using the adjustable Velcro dividers, we packed our Transpac Digital Media Transport Case three times with three different sets of gear to demonstrate its versatility. We set out 4 - StarLite heads, 4 - soft box connectors, 4 - power cords, and 4 - small soft boxes. [figure 20]

    Figure 21

We placed our equipment into the main compartment of the bag. With a few minor adjustments of our Velcro dividers we fit everything into our bag with ease. We removed the top flap to allow us to pile in more gear. [figure 21]

    Figure 22

Here in our second example we take our Digital Media Transport case from lighting equipment case to camera and laptop carrier. We rearranged all of the Velcro dividers to get the maximum protection for our most important equipment. We fit 1 - digital SLR camera with 12 - 60 mm lens, 1 - digital SLR camera body, 1 - 35mm lens, 1 - 11 - 22 mm lens, 1 - 300 mm lens, 2 - electronic flashes, 1 - light meter, 2 - wireless triggers, and 1 - laptop with power supply [figures 22, 23, and 24]. For this packing configuration we left the top flap in our case to separate our laptop from our always extremely important camera gear.

The Transpac Digital Media Transport Case is the best choice for hauling your invaluable lighting, computer and camera equipment. The case provides you with ease of mobility, stores and protects your gear providing flexibility for an infinite variety of configurations. Thanks for choosing Photoflex.
