Topics Covered:

  • Using portable flash units
  • Using reflective fill

Equipment Used:

    Figure 1

We began this shoot by setting a Large MultiDomeQ39 with the four gold panels installed inside, to the right of our camera. The gold interior will give our model a warmer look.

    This is the result.

Then we set up a 32" Photoflex white/soft gold LiteDisc held in place by a Photoflex LiteDisc Holder on a Photoflex 2218 LiteStand.

    Figure 4

We put the soft gold side towards the model and positioned the LiteDisc towards the front of the model so that the fill would hit the face and not the hair.

    This is the result.

    Figure 6

We put a 22" MultiDisc on a LiteDisc holder and a 2218 LiteStand and positioned it above the model to light the hair.

    Figure 7

    This is the result.

    Figure 8

Finally, we set up another MultiDome on a 2322 LiteStand and positioned it so that it would light the background to give depth to the photo.

    This is the result.
